The Kite Runner Empty The Kite Runner

Post by Michelle Mon Sep 01, 2008 4:25 pm

I finished the audio book of The Kite Runner earlier this week & have mixed emotions. It was written very well; he told a great story. However, the entire undertone made me depressed & the ending was not what I would have wanted. It did open my eyes to a different culture & that was interesting, but I can't really give it two thumbs up. I'll probably rent the movie and see how they interpreted the book.

Wow--way to go, Michelle! My sis sent me the audio book of the Kite Runner, and I couldn't get past the first few minutes of it. I hear it is great to read just for the cultural part of it, though. Let us know how the movie is!
